The Optimizer - Basement

Before the remodel, this basement was a dark, uninviting storage room.

   
       
    This was a poorly organized utility space for
doing laundry. We changed the layout and
used part of it for the new bathroom.		  
   
       

We drywalled the walls and ceilings, changed the windows, added some white cabinents and a gas fireplace with an area above it for a flat panel TV. We removed the wall behind the bar to create an "L" shaped room. (Between the two white cabinets the owner is put a computer desk.)

  
       
   
       
    Next to the computer desk area we installed a bathroom with a slate floor and shower.
